Who We Are

Each morning we get together to discuss what we are working on, what needs to be done and in what order this day and to present any concepts anyone has for future development. This is a crucial part of our program as it keeps us on track, identifies any areas of difficulties and lays the groundwork for upcoming endeavors.

Floyd
Floyd is a ceramicist. He has a fine arts degree in ceramics, has had his work in several exhibitions and studied and worked on two occasions in Jiangxi Provence in China where he learned a number of techniques invaluable to our work at Indoor Fountains. He brings supurb throwing as well as handbuilding skills, is knowledgable about glazes and glazing and about many aspects of ceramics generally.

Jackie
Jackie was a professional dancer wherein she danced and toured worldwide with several companies, then transitioned into jewelry making about 2008, working in fine silver and porcelain. She now works with making and detailing our ceramic work and creating miniatures in ceramics. She also manages shipping and customer service.

Many of the porcelain figurines and small sculptures featured in our indoor fountains are the work of Jackie. Each is hand formed from porcelain, often mixed with oxides for color, they are bisque fired then glaze-painted and fired to 2,232°F
At Indoor Fountains we work as a team, brainstorming, generating and modifying concepts and often collaborating on the same fountains with each doing a part.
At the same time each of us has his and her own independent role wherein we apply our skills and talents to do what we do best.

Emily
has been an artist most of her life, primarily a painter. She joined the team in 2020. Ceramics was new to her. Emily now creates many of the designs on the center pieces; building and carving them and painting them, bringing a particularly playful and graceful quality to the pieces.
Emily is also responsible for the execution of the Bouquet and Coral designs forming them and glaze-painting them.

Joyce
Joyce is an artist who cannot live without art and beauty in her life. She has worked in many media and is extraordinarily skilled in all of them. Joyce came to our shop in 2011 and is constantly bringing new, creative concepts and skills to her work. Joyce is responsible for many of the highly ornamented center pieces which she executes with great precision and skill.

Keith
Keith was an award winning, internationally praised landscape designer for nearly twenty years, creating landscapes across America and abroad, (almost all of which featured a water element), and is the author of four landscape design books including Water Features For Small Gardens (Timber Press). Fountain creation began with his work creating miniature gardens and small fountains.
Keith is the artistic director. He oversees operations, is one of the potters and, in concert with the others, works with guiding fountain designs. He’s been creating indoor fountains and miniature gardens since 2008.
